This assures the surgeon and the patient of the highest quality and efficacy of the allografts. UMTB maintains a highly qualified technical staff to respond to and perform all aspects of donor referral, consent, surgical recovery, processing and distribution. Certified Tissue Bank Specialists stand by to perform aseptic recovery of both musculoskeletal and cardiovascular tissues. UMTB's technologists receive training through an extensive in-house program as well as an AATB training program. After their training is complete, technologists take an examination to qualify as AATB Certified Tissue Bank Specialists.Thorough documentation and review of each step in the process is completed by professionally trained quality assurance, regulatory and documentation specialists.
